Veer Balak Memorial To Be Inaugurated By PM Modi Today In Gujarat’s Kutch

Accodring to Reports, on Sunday, August 28, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially inaugurate the Smriti Van memorial, which was built on the outskirts of Anjar town in the Kutch State as a memorial to the teachers and kids who died in the Gujarat earthquake in 2001.

The Prime Minister will address a throng in the Kutch district town of Bhuj. From the same location, he will essentially perform groundbreaking ceremonies for close to ten developments in the same area.

On January 26, 2001, the state was hit by a powerful earthquake that had its epicentre in Bhuj and killed 185 students and 20 teachers. As a result, the Smriti Van memorial was built next to the town of Anjar.

Started on August 27, Modi will spend two days in Gujarat, his home state, taking part in a range of activities and launching or laying the groundwork for a number of building projects. The memorial consists of five sections, including one with an earthquake simulator, another with artifacts the kids used when they were alive, and a fifth with details on the scientific aspects of earthquakes, is also part of the memorial.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also deliver a speech at Gandhinagar celebration honouring Suzuki’s 40 years of presence in India at about 5:00 p.m. shortly after the memorial is inaugurated.
