Two Palestinian Gunmen Killed In West Bank Clash By Israel Security Forces

According to Reports, Palestinian and Israeli officials said that two Palestinian militants were killed by Israeli soldiers on Sunday in an early-morning gunfight in the occupied West Bank.

The altercation at a home in the Palestinian City of Nablus resulted in the deaths of two men, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry, who also reported that six other men were injured. The militant group Fatah Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades gained control of the two victims.

Police stated that, as they attempted to make an arrest outside the home of a wanted suspect, Israeli security forces came under fire from armed individuals. They “responded with live fire and other methods until neutralising the terrorists inside the house and on its roof”.

Naser Estitya, a 60-year-old neighbour, claimed to have heard gunfire coming from inside the home before Israeli forces opened fire indiscriminately on it. He claimed that they had been yelling out one individual’s name and requesting that he give up.

Senior Palestinian politician Hussein al-Sheikh described the incident as “another atrocity done by the occupying forces in the old city of Nablus, where many martyrs have died and many have been injured”. “We firmly condemn this crime and hold the occupation accountable for its effects”, they said.

US-mediated negotiations to create an independent Palestinian state in East Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza broke down in 2014 and have not recovered.

Since men from the region carried out deadly street attacks in Israel, Israeli troops have increased raids in the West Bank. The Palestinian Authority, which is backed by the West, frequently denounces such intrusions.
