According to sources, Indian Army said that, two members of the Indian Army, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), were killed when the barrel of a T-90 tank detonated during field firing training today in Babina Cantonment near Jhansi.
On October 7th 2022, at the Babina Field Firing Ranges Annual Firing, where a tank barrel blast took place near Jhansi.
The tank was manned by a squad of three members. After receiving prompt medical care, the team was sent to Military Hospital Babina.
Sadly, the Commander and the Gunner passed away as a result of their severe burns. The driver is seeking medical attention and is safe. The issue is much more taken into investigation.
The Indian Army sent heartfelt condolences to the grieving families of the soldiers who died in the catastrophe. A court of investigation has been established, as stated by the officials, to investigate the incident.
