Three Lashkar Terrorists Killed In Encounter By Security Forces In Jammu And Kashmir

According to sources, three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed today in an encounter with security troops in the Shopian area of Jammu & Kashmir on Tuesday. Two of them, local recruiters, were accused of killing two individuals in the Union territory, as stated by the police.

They also said that, Kashmiri Pandit Purana Krishna Bharat was killed by one of the attackers, Lateef Lone. Till Bahadur Thapa of Nepal and Umer Nazir, another individual, were killed, as per reports from the police.

A security operation against terrorists that started early on Tuesday morning in the Munje Marg neighbourhood resulted in the encounter. There were two pistols and a rifle found at the scene of the fight.

“Lateef Lone of Shopian, who murdered the Kashmiri Pandit Shri Purana Krishna Bhat, and Umer Nazir of Anantnag, who murdered the Nepalese citizen Till Bahadur Thapa, were two of the three local terrorists who were killed.”

ADGP Kashmir further added that, 2 handguns and 1 AK-47 found “The police stated about one of its senior officers. Numerous targeted killings have occurred in Kashmir since last year, with migrant workers or Kashmiri Pandits as the victims. The Army claims that the most recent incident featured two civilian deaths last week brought on by terrorist gunfire.
