The technicians for IndiGo complained in writing to Airbus, the company that makes Aeroplanes, that their employer was not doing routine maintenance, endangering the safety of passengers.
According to Information, “All-India Aircraft Technicians wrote a letter to Airbus on July 12 requesting their intervention to stop any undesirable events with aircraft provided by the firm”.
The letter sent by All-India Aircraft Technicians to Airbus stated that “I request you to kindly intervene in this matter and ask the operators to share maintenance data of the past seven days”.
The operators you have rented your aircraft to are not performing routine maintenance, the technicians further stated in the letter. Since four days ago, the technical staff has been on strike, yet they are still flying the airplane without completing required maintenance and even postponing scheduled maintenance.
They also emphasised how poor maintenance may significantly harm Airbus reputation on the global market. The low-cost airline, though, has rejected the accusations, calling them unfounded.
By identifying a few airline executives who are purportedly to blame for the issue, “They have downgraded the maintenance standards of your aircraft”. You can directly question them for improper handling of aircraft, Stated By technicians.
“IndiGo fulfills all the legal requirements and upholds the highest standards of aircraft maintenance”. These accusations are being disseminated maliciously and are absolutely without merit.
Technicians further added that, One of the safest airlines in the world, we have a fleet of over 280 aircraft with excellent operational availability. All of our customers can count on us for timely, cost-effective, safe, courteous, and hassle-free service.
This occurs after IndiGo’s aircraft maintenance technicians took two days off work previous week in Hyderabad and Delhi to protest their meagre pay.
An IndiGo aircraft from Delhi to Vadodara had recently diverted to Jaipur as a preventative measure after engine vibrated for a split second on July 15.
