Taiwan To Expect Greater Chinese Power After Xi Jinping Gets Power For The Third Term

According to sources, Taiwan’s foreign minister stated on Wednesday that, Beijing will intensify its efforts to exterminate Taiwan’s last remaining loyalists now that Xi Jinping has been elected to a third term in power as per officials.

To increase the stakes to show their allegiance to the president. During a crucial conference of China’s communist leaders over the weekend, Xi reinforced that, his status as the country’s most influential leader since Mao Zedong. Beijing claims Taiwan’s self-government is a part of its territory and has vowed to conquer the territory, using force if necessary.

It has pushed Taiwan’s supporters in international relations for decades to break ties and support China. Joseph Wu, the Chief diplomat for Taiwan, said that, “it is feasible that things could get worse on the diplomatic front”.

He predicted that China will put more pressure on the 14 countries that still have diplomatic connections with Taiwan in order for China to “show commitment” to Xi. Certain intelligence has been seen to send out alerts.

We hope that our diplomatic relations with China won’t be impacted which Wu said at a meeting of the legislature. “Currently, all of our offices and embassies are keeping a careful eye on everything. We will verify the intelligence and take positive actions to enhance diplomatic relations”.
