According to information, North Korea scared the world with two short range ballistic missiles launched into the East Sea on Saturday, the nation’s fourth in less than a week, as stated by the South Korean military. The Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) apparently discovered the launches in Pyongyang’s Sunan neighbourhood between 6:45 and 7:03 in the morning.
Further, no other details were not given. In accordance with the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), our military is retaining a full level of readiness while increasing up monitoring and vigilance in close cooperation with the US.
The most latest launches followed after prior provocations on Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday. South Korea, the US, and Japan conducted an anti-submarine warfare (ASW) exercise on Friday in the East Sea’s international waters.
The three countries have been enhancing both their trilateral and bilateral security coordination in response to concerns that the North could inflame tensions by conducting a nuclear test or even other aggressive moves. On Thursday, US Vice President Kamala Harris spent the entire day in South Korea, meeting with President Yoon Suk-yeol and visiting the demilitarised zone (DMZ) separating the two Koreas.
While she was in the country, she promised that Washington would be doing “everything” it could to fulfil its promise to the security of the Asian ally.
