Punjab Government Has Decided To Restore Back To The Old Pension Scheme For It’s Employees

The former pension plan for its employees was restored in effect by the Punjabi government today on Friday. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced that the administration has decided to restore the previous pension plan.

And consider it as a Diwali gift during the meeting of the state cabinet in Chandigarh. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann stated that,  “We decided in principle to do this during the cabinet meeting.

This will benefit thousands of workers, and Punjab will now be covered by that of the former pension scheme. As stated by the Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, employees will have the option of enrolling in the previous pension scheme system.

The government employee benefit plan and packages was said to be under consideration by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s government a month earlier. The restoration of the former pension plan, which was discontinued in 2004, is one of the primary demands of State Government employees.

In August of last year, senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Mr. Cheema vowed to resume the prior pension plan if his party won power in Punjab.
