President Droupadi Murmu Leaves For London To Attend Queen’s Elizabeth II Funeral

According to information, in order to attend Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral and express her condolences on behalf of the Indian government, President Droupadi Murmu left for London on Saturday.

The funeral ceremony for Queen Elizabeth II, who died recently on September 8 at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, will take place on September 19 at Westminster Abbey.

President Droupadi Murmu is leaving for London, United Kingdom, to attend H.M. Queen Elizabeth II’s state burial.  S. Jaishankar, the Minister of external affairs, visited this city on September 12 to send his sympathies to the British High Commission.

India also observed a national day of mourning on Sunday. Over the course of Queen Elizabeth II’s 70-year reign, the relationship between India and the UK has significantly evolved, expanded, and deepened.

She had a tremendous impact on the welfare of millions of people worldwide, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in a statement.
