According to information, in celebration of Guru Nanak Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with the President Droupadi Murmu offered greetings to the people and gatherings on Tuesday.
President Droupadi Murmu conveyed her best greetings on the important occasion of Guru Nanak Dev’s birth anniversary to both citizens of India and Indians who are abroad. “On the holy occasion of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s birth anniversary, I extend my heartfelt greetings to everyone citizens and Indians living in abroad, specially the brothers and sisters of the Sikh community”, the President said in her speech to the nation.
She continued by saying that everyone should adopt the moral lessons of “Japji Sahib” and uphold enduring values like integrity, selflessness, and moral behaviour. Guru Nanak Dev Ji spread the idea that God, or “Ek Omkar”, is a singular being who is present everywhere.
He inspired us to lead lives of love, togetherness and brotherhood. We should stick to “Japji Sahib’s” teachings and uphold moral standards like honesty and selflessness. We are encouraged to live honestly and give to those in need by the teachings of “Kirat Karo” and “Vade Chhako”.
Droupadi Murmu further highlighted that, in addition to teaching about humility and serving others, Guru Nanak Dev Ji did so. The President further asserted that following his teachings would bring prosperity and peace to us. She Finished with the lines of “Let us follow his teachings and progress in the spirit of the well being of people on this auspicious day.
