Plane Crashed in Nepal: No Survivors Found Yet

The Tara Air plane, which had 22 passengers on board, crashed in Nepal’s hilly Mustang area on Sunday, leaving no survivors. The plane took off at 9:55 a.m. from Pokhara, a popular tourist destination, and lost touch with air traffic control 12 minutes later, at 10:07 a.m.

The wreckage of a plane lost in the mountains of Nepal was discovered on Monday, and all 22 persons on board, including four Indians, are assumed dead.

So far, 20 bodies have been recovered from the wreckage of a small plane carrying 22 people that crashed in a remote region of Nepal.

The deadliest known plane tragedy in Nepal occurred in 1992, when a Pakistan International Airlines plane crashed on approach to Kathmandu airport, killing all 167 people on board. A Thai Airways plane had crashed near the same airport two months earlier in the same year (August 1992), killing 113 people.
