The recently renovated “Phansi Ghar” that is execution room, which will be opened to the public on Tuesday by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, is on the premises of the Delhi Assembly. According to an official invitation, the Chief Minister will also unveil a memorial to the Corona Warriors at the celebration.
Officials added that, tourists would be allowed to visit these two areas whenever the Delhi Assembly is not in session. The “Phansi Ghar” was used to execute freedom fighters. The Public Works Department started the rehabilitation in September of last year.
The Corona Warrior Memorial and Phansi Ghar have now officially opened ahead of Independence Day. They asserted that in addition to the “Phansi Ghar”, the historically noteworthy Delhi Assembly also features a tunnel under the primary building’s central hall. There is apparently a tunnel connecting the Legislative Assembly with the Red Fort.
The Central Legislative Assembly is now housed in the Delhi Assembly, which was built in 1911 after the nation’s headquarters was shifted from Kolkata to Delhi.
The Corona War Memorial was built as a memorial to the Covid warriors, who included sanitation workers, teachers, medical professionals, nurses, and paramedics. These individuals sacrificed everything they had during the epidemic and made exceptional contributions to society.
The Corona Warriors Memorial will display information about such people’s service and sacrifice made during the outbreak.
