Manpreet Singh, a suspect in the Siddhu Moose Wala murder case, arrested by Punjab police from Uttarakhand

On Monday, Manpreet Singh was apprehended in Dehradun by a squad of Punjab police officers and Uttarakhand STF sleuths.
Manpreet Singh was brought before a Mansa court today and was sentenced to five days in jail. This is the first arrest in connection with the assassination of Sidhu Moose Wala. He was one among six people nabbed by cops in Dehradun on Monday.

Singh was apprehended when a joint team of Punjab’s anti-gangster task force and Uttarakhand’s special task force tracked down a car with a Punjab registration number on the outskirts of Dehradun, according to a senior Uttarakhand STF official.
Punjab cops have detailed information about the vehicle. The city’s exit points were then blocked off by the police. The police pursued the vehicle and eventually halted it near the Nayagaon police checkpoint.The suspect was pulled out of the automobile and transferred to an undisclosed location by the police,” the officer said, adding that four other passengers were also in the vehicle and were permitted to go after a brief interrogation.

Fans and admirers paid their ultimate respects to the artist earlier in the day when his death rites were performed in his hometown of Moosa in Punjab’s Mansa district.
On Tuesday, Moose Wala’s body was returned to his family. According to a story in Qunit, his post-mortem was performed by a panel of doctors at Mansa public hospital.
