Maharashtra Government Decided To Set Up “Cyber Intelligence Unit”

According to Sources, In response to an increase in online fraud cases, Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, declared on Monday that the government will establish a cyber intelligence agency.

In response to a query from the Maharashtra Legislative Council, the Deputy Chief Minister claimed that cybercrimes have increased, particularly following the coronavirus epidemic as many people choose to conduct financial transactions online.

Apps due to which Cybercrimes Increased :

The Deputy Chief Minister continued by using Chinese loan applications, some of which are operated out of Nepal, as an example of how cybercriminals frequently work from different areas and countries. “The phone centres for these Chinese lending apps are primarily headquartered in Nepal. The state police has informed the Nepali authorities”.
