The Kochi Police Commissioner said Shafi a habitual offender and psychopath has killed two women as a part of sexual perversion and cannibalism. C.H. Nagaraju IPS said that Shafi derived sadistic pleasure from injuring and even killing the victims for his sexual perversion. He added more than 10 cases are already filed against him, including rape, theft and attempt to murder. The accused is taken to jail after being remanded in judicial custody by the Ernakulam district court.
The shocking crime case comes from India’s most literate state which looks much more gorier. Two women lured from different parts of Kerala for a pornographic film in return for money were beheaded, stabbed, cut into pieces and possibly their flesh eaten by the accused.
The main accused is a 52-year-old class-XI school drop-out Muhammed Shafi, who lured women on social media for giving work in pornographic film. He took them to the killer couples’ house. He was the alleged “agent” who supplied the two women to the co-accused couple, Bhagaval Singh and Laila. Shafi was out on bail in a 2020 case of sexual assault of a 75-year old woman.
A special investigation team headed by Mr. Sasidharan, under the supervision of ADGP (law & order), has been formed to probe the case. The team will look into both cases registered in connection with the missing of victims by Kadavanthra and Kalady police.
