Japan Prime Minister Issues Emergency, As North Korea Fires Ballistic Missiles

According to information, officials from South Korea and Japan claim that North Korea launched a ballistic missiles into the ocean off its east coast on Sunday. The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff confirmed the launch on Sunday morning but provided no further details.

A per thes the Japanese Prime Minister’s Office also confirmed the launch. Although it did not specify how near the Japanese coast it was, the Japanese Coast Guard claimed that the Defense Ministry had informed it that a suspected North Korean missile had fallen in the waters between Japan and the Korean Peninsula.

As stated by the anonymous government officials further added that, the missile fell outside of Japan’s exclusive economic zone. Further, three days prior, North Korea asserted that it had tested a “high thrust solid fuel engine” for a brand new strategic weapon.

It may be able to develop a more mobile, hard to detect arsenal of intercontinental missiles with this development that can reach the US mainland. Ballistic missiles containing nuclear warheads have been launched by North Korea in recent months, including the launching of its longest range, liquid-fueled Hwasong 17 ICBM previous month.

According to some experts, North Korea will eventually exert greater pressure on the US to lift sanctions and provide other incentives. The precise status of North Korea’s nuclear assault capability is still unknown because all of its recent intercontinental ballistic missile tests have already been conducted at a steep angle to avoid neighboring nations.
