According to Information, on Wednesday, Jaiveer Shergill resigned from his position as the party spokesperson, handing Congress a devastating blow. Jaiveer Shergill resigned from the Congress in a letter to Sonia Gandhi, the interim president, alleging that the body’s decisions are influenced by self-serving objectives.
Jaiveer Shergill said, “It bothers me to say that decision-making is no longer driven by the self-serving interests of those engaged in sycophancy and constantly ignoring on-the-ground reality”.
Jaiveer Shergill has been barred from holding press conferences for the preceding few months. This happened only a few days after two seasoned Congressmen, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Anand Sharma, left the group.
Main Reason for his Resignation :
The primary cause of this is that the ideologies and goals of the current Indian National Congress decision-makers no longer reflect those of young people and contemporary India.
Anand Sharma, a senior member of the Congress, resigned three days ago from his post as the chairman of the party’s steering committee for Himachal Pradesh, citing “continuous marginalisation and insults” as the cause of his action.
