India Women defeated Sri Lanka women in the title clash of 2022 Asia Cup. Women in blue thrashed Sri Lankan Women by 8-wickets. This is the seventh title for the queens of Asian cricket teams. The match was totally one sided because of splendid Indian bowling.

Sri Lanka Women won the toss and decided to bat first. They got troubled due to lack of clarity in approach and scored the lowest ever total batting first in the history of Asia Cup final. They could score just 65 runs in 20 overs. Indian bolwers led-by pacer Renuka Singh (3 wickets) were on fire. In chase, Smriti Mandhana smashed fifty including winning run, hitting a maximum, at a strike-rate of more than 200. India lost Opener Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues for going extra aggressive in a small chase. Captain Harmanpreet along with Smriti finished the game for India in just 8.3 overs (71/2).

Both teams came into the title clash with lots of confidence. One side where India Women kicked first time semi-final appearing Thailand Women by 5-wickets, Sri Lanka Women piped Pakistan Women by one run in an absolute mayhem off the final delivery.
