India criticises China and Pakistan for including third countries in the CPEC projects, calling it “illegal and undesirable”

India criticised China and Pakistan on Tuesday for attempting to persuade other nations to join initiatives related to the multi-billion dollar connectivity corridor known as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which goes through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The CPEC is being expanded to include Afghanistan thanks to China and Pakistan.

Such CPEC-related operations, according to the official spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, Arindam Bagchi, are “inherently illegal, illegitimate, and unacceptable,” and India will consider them as such.

China and Pakistan decided to welcome interested third countries to participate in projects related to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor during a meeting on Friday.
The “projects in the so-called CPEC” are in Indian territory that, according to MEA, has been “illegally occupied by Pakistan,” and New Delhi has consistently criticised them.
