Roger Federer has expressed his desire to return to tennis and compete at a high level once more.
After suffering a third surgery on his right knee in July of last year, the 20-time Grand Slam champion has been out of action since. He last competed in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon, where he was defeated in straight sets by Hubert Hurkacz.
Despite the fact that he will turn 41 in August, the Swiss has been adamant about returning to competitive tennis. Federer claimed he is ready to “give his all again” in a recent interview with Camina da Magazin.
Federer replied, “I can’t even fathom that far.” “I’m awaiting the physicians’ approval. I’m ready to go all out once more. I’m like a racehorse itching its stall, eager to run. I’m hoping to be able to jump right in this summer. After a long day of training, I’m looking forward to getting home in the evening and being absolutely weary.”
