According to information, the Karnataka High Court’s verdict holding the hijab ban at educational institutions was challenged in a number of ways, and the Supreme Court on Monday postponed the hearing on those challenges. The court will continue their hearing pleadings only on Wednesday.
The Karnataka government received notice from the Supreme Court on August 29 concerning a number of issues challenging the Karnataka High Court’s ruling upholding the hijab prohibition in educational institutions.

Additionally, the panel of justices Hemant Gupta and Sudhanshu Dhulia made it explicit that it wouldn’t accept applications to adjourn the case and would not put up with “forum shopping.” The Karnataka High Court’s decision was being challenged, and the court had said that it will hear the issue on September 5.
A number of petitioners have appealed against the Karnataka High Court’s decision sustaining the Karnataka government’s direction for strict adherence to the uniform norms in schools and institutions to the highest court in an effort to challenge the judgement.
Due to one appeal before the Supreme Court, “stepmotherly behaviour” by government employees resulted in an undesirable law and order situation.
