Ghulam Nabi Azad quits Congress

All of Ghulam Nabi Azad’s roles, including his primary membership in the Congress party, have been vacated. Azad resigned from his position as Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir campaign committee earlier this month, only hours after his appointment. According to reports, Azad stated health reasons for leaving the campaign committee.

Former Union minister and veteran of the Congress Ghulam Nabi Azad resigned from the party today, criticising Rahul Gandhi for his “immaturity” and “demolishing the consultative mechanism” in the party. Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister stated he has resigned from all offices including the primary membership of the Congress in an explosive letter to party leader Sonia Gandhi.
