According to sources, four people were struck by a speeding dump truck in the Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh, resulting in four fatalities and two injuries, as per the police.
They stated that the incident occurred in the Chandangaon neighbourhood of Chhindwara city and that one of the victims had a critical condition. Further, the “Additional police superintendent Sanjeev Uikey stated that, “the dump truck hit a man, two motorcycles, and a road divider before slamming into one.
Three individuals died right after, while a fourth person died from their injuries while receiving medical care at a hospital.” At the time of the crash, he further said, two motorcycles were being driven by two people and one motorcycle by three people.
The two injured men were rushed to a hospital, and one of them is in serious condition, the speaker said. The ASP further added that, the bodies of the victims were being sent for post mortem.
The victims, all of whom were Chhindwara residents, were aged between 20 to 35. The dumper’s driver has been arrested and is accused of reckless driving. Mr. Uikey claims that the car has also been seized.
