According to sources, Eight Congress MLAs of Goa who moved to the BJP earlier this month will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday in Delhi. The MLAs headed by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and BJP state unit president Sadanand Tanavade, based on a senior party official, will meet the Prime Minister tomorrow morning.
As stated by him, six parliamentarians would travel to Delhi tonight, where they will be joined by MLAs Michael Lobo and Digambar Kamat, who are now away from the state.

After the Congress Legislative Party approved a resolution authorising their departure, MLAs Michael Lobo, Kedar Naik, Digambar Kamat, Rajesh Phaldesai, Sankalp Amonkar, Rudolf Fernandes, Aleixo Sequeira and Delilah Lobo joined the BJP earlier on Wednesday (CLP).
While in Delhi, as stated by BJP officials, the delegation is also expected to meet with Party President J P Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, but their meeting is yet to be scheduled.
The BJP continued to hold power among 40 members of the Goa Assembly following the elections in March of this year. It had 20 MLAs, compared to the Congress’s three, down from 11 after a recent defection.
