Eight BJP candidates from Uttar Pradesh have filed nominations for the Rajya Sabha elections

In the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other top party leaders, eight BJP candidates filed their nominations for the Rajya Sabha elections on Tuesday.
Eight BJP candidates filed their nominations today, including K Laxman, the party’s OBC Morcha national president, former BJP state chairman Laxmikant Vajpayee, Mithilesh Kumar, Radha Mohan Das Aggarwal, Surendra Singh Nagar, Baburam Nishad, Darshana Singh, and Sangeeta Yadav.

Deputy Chief Ministers Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya were among the senior party leaders present at the event, in addition to Adityanath.
On June 10, elections will be held for 57 Rajya Sabha seats across 15 states. Uttar Pradesh will have elections for the most seats, with 11 seats up for election.

Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Haryana are the states where these biennial elections would be place.

The notification for the biennial elections was released on May 24, 2022, and the deadline for filing nominations is May 31, 2022, according to the Election Commission of India.

The deadline to withdraw your candidacy is June 3, 2022. After the polling procedure is completed on June 10, the votes will be counted, according to the ECI statement.
