Dilbag Singh, a farmer leader and a witness in the Lakhimpur Kheri case, was shot in UP

Dilbag Singh, a Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader and a witness in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case, was brutally attacked in the district by two unidentified persons.

On Tuesday night, the BKU (Tikait) district president was returning home in his SUV from Aliganj-Muda route in Gola kotwali area when he was attacked. Mr. Singh, on the other hand, was unharmed in the attack.

FIR has been filed against two anonymous people. The attackers allegedly burst a tyre on Singh’s SUV and then fired shots through the driver’s side window pane, according to Singh.

Mr Singh stated that he was driving the SUV alone.

He claimed that as he sensed the attackers’ intentions, he folded the driver’s seat and bent down towards the floor. Because the car windows were obscured by dark film, the attackers were unable to determine the status of the BKU leader inside the SUV and escaped on their motorcycles.
