‘Danger Adjourned’! After a bird strike, Yogi Adityanath’s helicopter makes an emergency landing in Varanasi

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, had to make an emergency landing in Varanasi on Sunday after a bird struck his helicopter. The incident happened as the helicopter departed for Lucknow from Varanasi’s Reserve Police Lines Ground.

According to early reports, the chief minister returned to the circuit house. He will now board a government plane and fly to Lucknow.

District magistrate Kaushalraj Sharma was quoted by news agency as stating, “A bird attacked the CM’s chopper after it took off from here (Varanasi) for Lucknow, following which it had to land here.

On Saturday, the CM visited Varanasi and visited the Kashi Vishwanath temple in addition to inspecting construction projects and law and order. After spending one night there, he was departing for Lucknow on Sunday.

He stated that by October of next year, almost 2.5 crore residents in UP villages will receive these certificates.

Although 34 lakh individuals have already benefited from the programme, the CM said that additional people will quickly receive certificates since a drone survey of the land in 1,10,300 revenue villages in the state will be finished by August, according to an official statement.

Adityanath thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for implementing the Rural Residential Records scheme nationwide two years ago, noting that it will enhance the rural economy and help villagers eventually become self-sufficient.
