Couple Living In U.S. Arrested For Using False Names From Dead Babies For Decades

In a case tinged with espionage suspicion, a couple accused of using fictitious names taken from dead babies and living in the United States for many years have been charged with identity fraud and conspiring against the government.

According to Information, both Gwynn Morrison and Walter Primrose, were born in 1955, were detained on Friday in Hawaii. Documents claim that a check of the couple’s house uncovered an old photograph showing them both dressed in KGB garb.

A federal judge ordered the husband’s extended custody on Thursday after finding that he posed a flight risk. Next week, the wife will appear before the judge.

Couple’s Life :

The couple allegedly studied together in Texas in the 1970s and got hitched there in 1980. For unclear reasons, they adopted the names Bobby Fort and Julie Montague in 1987. These infants passed away and are buried in surrounding cemeteries as babies.

The couple then got remarried in 1988 while using fictitious names. So-called Bobby Fort joined the Coast Guard in 1994 and served there for 20 years before moving on to work as a contractor for the Department of Defense.

The two acquired several official documents over the years using fictitious identities, including several passports and driver’s license.  Although espionage is not charged in the indictment, a document submitted in opposition to their bail reveals a complicated case.

Federal prosecutor Clare Connors claimed that letters intended to the pair “had been confiscated by federal officials” and “refer to defendants by identities other than Bobby, Julie, Walter, or Gwynn.

According to Connors, a Morrison relative told authorities how she had lived in Romania while it was still a communist country.

Primrose, on the other hand, was obligated to register all international travel, but the prosecutor said that she had neglected to do so on multiple visits to Canada. In a brief statement to AFP, Morrison’s attorney Megan Kau stated that her client refuted the charges.
