Pramod Sawant, the Chief Minister of Goa, agreed with Manohar Lal Khattar’s Haryana Chief Minister statement that the CBI would investigate Sonali Phogat’s death case if the family wasn’t pleased with the Goa police probe.
Goa CM Pramod Sawant said, “We believe our Police and they’re conducting good inquiry, but it’s the people’s want. We are handing it over to the CBI today in accordance to the public’s demand, notably that of her daughter, for something like a CBI investigation.
The statement was made one day after the Chief Minister tod that, “We had requested for a CBI probe in written form but they have indicated that first Goa would actually finish their own enquiry and if the family is not pleased with it, the investigation will be further handed over to CBI”.
Family Of Sonali Phogat Requesting CBI enquiry :
The former Bigg Boss participant’s family has been asking and also demanding a CBI probe for a long time now, and the announcement comes after the family has been vocal about their demands. In the midst of the controversy, high officials are reportedly analyzing the situation, as said by the Goa Police, and a chargesheet will be drafted using factual evidence.
Supreme Court had stated that, which had previously ordered the postponement of the destruction of the hotel Curlies in Goa, Sonali Phogat is believed to have passed away after receiving methamphetamine pills. While delaying the hotel’s demolition, the Apex Court decided that no promotional campaign would be permitted on the grounds.
Sonali Phogat, a former Tik Tok singer from Hisar and participant on the reality show “Bigg Boss,” was brought dead to a hospital in north Goa on August 23, a day after landing in the coastal state with two of her male friends.
