Karnataka’s chief minister, Basavaraj Bommai, declared today that his journey to Delhi has been postponed due to a COVID-19 test result showing mild symptoms. He said he was now by himself at home.
Basavaraj Bommai stated that, “I have been isolating myself at home after a COVID-19 test revealed I had mild symptoms. and tested positive. If you have approached me in the past few days, please take a break and get tested. There would be no more flights from me to Delhi”.
He also had a meeting with BJP national leadership planned to go over state-specific news and the next assembly elections in 2023.
The third national council meeting of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” and the Governing Council meeting of the NITI Aayog, which will both be presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi this evening and tomorrow morning respectively, were the events that Mr. Bommai was expected to attend upon his arrival in Delhi today.
Mr. Basavaraj Bommai spent the entire day on Friday attending activities, including the Annual General Meeting In Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC), the State High-Level Clearance Committee (SHLCC), and the beginning of the Annual Independence Day flower exhibition at Lalbagh’s glass house.
