Ayman Al-Zawahiri, Chief Of Al-Qaeda Killed In U.S. Drone Strike

According to Reports, President of the United States Joe Biden said that the US had killed Ayman al-Zawahiri on Tuesday in an Afghanistan drone attack. The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) killed Ayman al-Zawahiri on Sunday close to Kabul.

Ayman al-Zawahiri  left a bloody trail of killing Americans and committing other atrocities. Justice has been done, and this terrorist commander is no longer in charge, said Biden.

How did Zawawhiri die :

When Zawahiri was on the veranda of a safe home, two missiles launched by a drone struck him. There were other family members present, however only the mission’s intended victim, the terrorist leader, perished.

The terrorist who killed Osama Bin Laden in Abbottabad in 2011 took over as head of al-Qaeda. Both were some of the most wanted terrorists in the US and took part in the 9/11 attack plot.

Biden went on to claim that the family of the 9/11 victims would find comfort in Zawahiri’s departure. He also emphasised that Zawahiri was behind a number of earlier terrorist attacks, including the suicide bombing of the USS Cole in Aden in October 2000, which resulted in the deaths of 17 US military members.

What Biden stated :

If you represent a threat to our citizens, the United States will identify you and kill you no matter how long it takes or where you hide. Biden swore that his administration would always defend the interests of its people.

Taliban leaders were furious upon hearing the news and alleged that the US operation had broken international law. The action “is against the interest of the US and Afghanistan,” according to a spokesman, and is a repetition of the “failed experiences of the last 20 years”.

Ayman al-Zawahiri, a former optometrist turned terrorist, had a key role in founding the Egyptian Islamic Jihad. Osama Bin Laden was designated the leader of al-Qaeda after his death by US forces in May 2011. The brains of Al Qaeda was also referred to as Osama’s right-hand guy. Security professionals believe Zawahiri participated actively in the September US strikes.

Ayman al-Zawahiri created a series of movies while leading al-Qaeda in an effort to recruit additional Muslims to the terrorist group. He also defended a female student from Karnataka who appeared in a video reading a poem in favour of her activities while speaking out against the state’s ban on the headscarf in classrooms. Muskan Khan questioned the students who were arguing with her because she was donning a hijab.
