AAP has suffered a major setback in Uttarakhand. AAP’s former Uttarakhand CM candidate Col Ajay Kothiyal has now joined BJP after resigning from AAP.
On Tuesday, during a program at the state party office, Ajay Kothiyal took the membership of the party in the presence of CM Pushkar Singh Dhami and state president Madan Kaushik.
The colonel was accompanied to the party office by other ex-servicemen. Colonel Kothiyal described the decision to join the Aam Aadmi Party as a mistake made out of emotion on this occasion. He believes it is prudent to correct bad mistakes. His supporters also encouraged him to join the BJP.
He extended his gratitude to the CM and the State President and promised to work tirelessly for the party’s success. He claimed to be working in Uttarakhand for social causes. He said that the BJP was at peace. Earlier, the State President and Chief Minister wore patkas to greet the party’s former office bearers.
