According to information, the Police authorities have said that, a fast SUV attacked and pulled a family of four members, including two children, for 100 meters before killing them in Lucknow on Wednesday. The incident happened in Aliganj, Lucknow, near to the Gulchain temple.
The SUV is believed to have hit the scooter, trapping the couple and their two kids underneath it. As per the reports from the Police, the car dragged the four victims for roughly 100 meters after the driver failed to put the brakes on.
The car, which was coming from the Tedhi Puliya surrounding area, struck the scooter in front of the temple. As per the villagers, they have also stated that, despite being aware that Scooty was trapped underneath the SUV car and the sparks had started coming due to dragging and further, the driver did not stop or control the car despite the collision.
All four were taken to the trauma center at King George’s Medical University in Lucknow where all the four members were declared dead. The person has been identified as Ram Singh aged 35 years.
As per the Police officials, his wife was 32 years old, and their two children were respectively 10 years and 7 years. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, expressed grief and condolences over the accident fatalities.
