Prime Minister Narendra Modi Flags Off The Northeast India’s First Vande Bharat Express Train

According to information, the inaugural Vande Bharat Express for the northeast was essentially launched on Monday by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which ran from Guwahati to New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal.

The Prime Minister symbolically waved a green flag on a screen to signal the departure of the train from the Guwahati terminal while Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, further the Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma as well as the Assam State Governor Gulab Chand Kataria were present.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi also states that, the Vande Bharat Express will improve opportunities for trade, tourism, education in the northeast and employment. The Guwahati to New Jalpaiguri semi high speed train will enhance linkages between Assam and West Bengal. Since all states are now connected to the internet, PM Modi thinks that, further the northeast has seen growth in infrastructure over the previous nine years period.

As per the Prime Minister, Modi has said that, “Infrastructure is for everyone without any discrimination, representing true equality and secularism”. The cutting edge train will boost tourism in the region and provide inhabitants with a quick, pleasant mode of transportation.

The Guwahati to New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express will now travel the same route in 5 hours 30 minutes, compared to the fastest train’s present time of 6 hours 30 minutes. Further, the Prime Minister have also launched a DEMU/MEMU shed in Assam and also dedicated the nation’s newly electrified 182 kms road.
