West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee To Protest Over The Centre’s Discrimination Towards Bengal

According to information, the West Bengal’s Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, on Tuesday said that, she would stage a two day sit in protest starting on March 29 on Wednesday in Kolkata.

And further she will protest against what she believes is the BJP led Union government’s discriminatory treatment of the eastern state. She also stated that, the centre had not provided funding for the MGNREGA project or other efforts by the home and road departments.

The Chief Minister told that, the only state where the federal government has not provided funding is West Bengal. It owes us money, but hasn’t paid it. The Union budget for this year did not include any funding for our state.

Thus, as the Chief Minister of West Bengal, she told shall hold a sit in protest under the statue of Dr. B R Ambedkar in Kolkata from March 29 and continue it through the evening of March 30, she told the officials at the Dumdum airport before leaving for a three day trip to Odisha.

Mamata Banerjee also stated that she will visit as a pleasure with my Odisha counterpart Naveen Patnaik on her visit to the coastal state.
