According to information, Police has said that, a group of local residents in Rajasthan’s Jalore region allegedly kidnapped a man who had gone to see a woman, beat him, tied him to a tree, and splashed urine into his mouth.
Police have arrested six people after a video of the assault was known to the Police department. In addition, they reported him in accordance with the POCSO Act, which guards kids from sexual offences.
Further, the victim allegedly went to a nearby village to meet a girl, as stated by the police. The local folk and the family of the girl caught him, beat him brutally and tied him to a tree. After learning of the scenario, the man’s family members gathered on the scene and pleaded the mob to save their loved one. He was apparently splashed in urine by the villagers, who then released him after giving him a warning.
The Jalore police superintendent, Harshvardhan Agarwalla, asserted that a video of the incident became viral. Mr. Agarwalla further stated that, “We have located, contacted, and obtained a FIR from the victim”, despite the fact that nobody came forward to file a FIR.
He also told that, six persons have been detained in connection with the incident. The girl he went to meet, as per Mr. Agarwalla, has also filed a complaint on him under the POCSO Act. Further stated that, after her statement recording is over, a more detailed enquiry will begin shortly.
