Massive Fire Breaks Out Despite Chhath Puja Celebrations And Many Critical In Bihar’s Aurangabad

According to information, more than 30 people have been hospitalised as a result of a gas cylinder blast brought on by a short circuit that culminated in a large fire in the Bihar region of Aurangabad on Saturday.

Ten or more people are in critical condition. A family was preparing food for Chhath Puja at 2:30 in the morning when the tragedy occurred. Seven police officers who were putting out the fire also sustained burn injuries.

On Sunday morning before dawn, some gas cylinders caught fire as family members of one Anil Goswami were cooking prasad for Chhath Puja in the Shahganj neighbourhood of the city police station area. This caused a gas leak, and despite all the villagers’ efforts to put out the flames, a large fire started and expanded.

The police and fire service workers rushed to the location as soon as they were made aware of the problem and made an effort to put it out. When the police attempted to put out the fire by throwing water at the cylinder, the flames spread and there was a loud cylinder boom that seriously hurt about 30 people.

There was a deluge of injured individuals needing treatment at the Aurangabad Sadar Hospital. Numerous people have been accepted into upscale nursing homes and are undergoing therapy. The fire started as a consequence of a gas explosion, as stated by the Sub Inspector Vinay Kumar Singh of the city police station, even though the incident’s cause has not yet been officially acknowledged by the government, based on the house owner, Anil Goswami.
