Indian Embassy issued a fresh travel advisory for its citizens, urging them to leave Ukraine as soon as possible. As hostilities continues to escalate across Ukraine, the embassy in Kyiv on Wednesday warned nationals against travelling to war zone.
“In view of the deteriorating security situation and recent escalation of hostilities across Ukraine, Indian nationals are advised against travelling to Ukraine. The Indian Citizens, including students, currently in Ukraine are advised to leave Ukraine at the earliest by available means”.

This is the second warning from the Indian embassy after Russia launched the most extensive ‘missile attacks’ against Ukraine capital Kyiv since the beginning of the war in February. Russia is targeting Ukrainian cities and infrastructure, using Iranian drones.
The war between Russia and Ukraine has escalated after a truck recently exploded on the Crimea road bridge, causing seven fuel tanks of a train heading to the Crimean Peninsula to catch fire.
Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said there is no room for negotiations with Russia now as they have destroyed more than 30% of Ukraine’s power stations.
On Wednesday, President Vladimir Putin announced “martial law” in the four recently annexed regions of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk and Donetsk. Putin is trying to strengthen his control in eastern Ukraine.
