Police : Pakistan Caller Threatens To Kill Mumbai SBI Bank Manager In Mumbai, Probe Launched

According to reports, authorities have said that, the branch received a call threatening to kill the bank chairman and blow up the State Bank of India building at Mumbai’s Nariman Point. The caller introduced him as MD Jia-Ul-Alim and claiming to be from Pakistan.

In order to get a loan, he begged the bank and threatened to kidnap and kill the bank chairman if he didn’t get one. Further, if he didn’t get the financing, he threatened to attack the bank. A person made a threatening call to the landline of the SBI branch in Nariman Point.

In his call, MD Jia-Ul-Alim gave his name and claimed to be calling from Pakistan. In the event that he was not offered a loan as soon as possible, he threatened to kidnap and kill the chairman of SBI. As stated by the Mumbai Police officials, his bomb threat also included the SBI building.

The police launched an inquiry into an unnamed suspect after receiving a report about the incident at the Marine Drive Police Station.

As per Bank’s compliant, the Marine Drive police have reportedly launched an investigation and registered a case under section 506(2) of the IPC against an unidentified person.
