According to reports, A man died in Maharashtra while dancing at an event honouring the Hindu festival of Navaratri. Tragically, after learning of his son’s death, the man’s father also died suddenly due to shock.
Manish Narapji Sonigra, 35, reportedly passed out while dancing during a Garba event in the Virar town of Maharashtra’s Palghar district, as stated by the Virar Police. The event was planned for the evening between Saturday and Sunday at the Global City complex.
Sonigra was taken right away to the hospital by his 66 year age old father Narapji Sonigra. Unfortunately, the doctor declared the son dead. The father collapsed upon hearing the news of his son’s death and died within few seconds.
After the police confirmed an accidental death, the post-mortem examination of both bodies was requested. Hindus across India now enjoy the nine day Navaratri festival.
While followers in the western part of India arrange the Garba dance for nine nights as part of the Navaratri celebrations, Hindus in the north and east of India celebrate the event as Durga Puja or Dussehra.
