Rahul Gandhi claims that a civil war is imminent in order to bring about ‘political reform’ in the country

Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader, resorted to alarmism when addressing at the ‘Ideas for India’ colloquium in the United Kingdom, claiming that a civil war in India would not surprise him because the country is so unstable.

He claimed that India is in a bad situation and that a political revolution is necessary. He backed up his claim by claiming that the Bharatiya Janata Party has spread kerosene all across the country and that a single spark is enough to blow everything up.

Further, in response to the question of how Congress will accomplish this given that it has been eight years since Congress was in power, he stated that the only solution is “public engagement”. He said, “We’re sitting on a powder cake“.

“We have a lot of polarisation and a lot of unemployment”. We have a large concentration of wealth and the backbone of employment has been broken. We will face social issues, and they will arrive. He went on to say, “There’s no doubt about that”.

Rahul Gandhi went on to declare that there will be a popular uprising, and it is up to the opposition to use it to transform the country’s policies. “We might potentially have an uncontrolled increase, like we are seeing in Sri Lanka”. India is in a bad situation. Kerosene has being disseminated around the country by the BJP. We’ll be in serious difficulty with just one spark”, Rahul warned, adding that Congress “has to cool the temperature” right now.
