Smoke On Air India Express While Take Off, Passengers Injured And Was Identified By Another Aircraft

According to reports, Officials said on Wednesday that several passengers received minor injuries as a consequence of the hurried evacuation of an Air India Express aircraft that was scheduled to take off from Oman owing to an engine fire. As the flight was taxiing to take off for Kochi, Omani TV showed footage of smoke emanating from the aircraft.

Over the tarmac, passengers could be seen coming in. The airline stated that,141 passengers experienced “minor bruises,” adding that another aircraft saw the smoke even though there was no fire alert in the cockpit. “While the Air India Express was on the taxiway, a different aircraft claimed witnessing smoke coming from one of the engines”.

But “there was no fire warning indicator in the cockpit”, a statement was issued. As a matter of extreme caution, the crew came to a stop on the taxiway and activated the engine fire extinguishers. According to Air India Express, a rescue flight will take the passengers to Kochi later on Wednesday.

“Necessary steps,” according to Director General of Civil Aviation Arun Kumar, would be implemented in reaction to the incident. Mr Kumar stated that, “all passengers have been safely evacuated after smoke was found in engine number two”.

We’ll investigate what happened and take the necessary action. Workers in Oman and other Gulf states with an abundance of natural resources are disproportionately from the South Asian region.
