Two Russian Diplomats Killed In Blast Near Russian Embassy In Kabul

 According to sources, on Monday near the russian embassy in the Afghan city of Kabul Russian diplomats killed and moreover, numerous civilians were killed in the explosion that happened.  Two members of the diplomatic mission were reportedly killed, and Afghan citizens also suffered losses, as stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

On Darulaman Road in Kabul is where you can find the Russian Embassy. An armed guard shot and killed a suicide bomber as he approached the gate the Afghan police said that, after the bomber had detonated explosives close to the entrance.

Regarding casualties, no information is at this time available. Mawlawi Sabir, the district chief of the police at the scene of the incident, said that the (Taliban) security at the Russian embassy had recognised the suicide attacker before he arrived at his target.

The Taliban leadership in Afghanistan is investigating the event, the deputy person Bilal Karimi. Russia is one of the few countries that still maintains an embassy there after the Taliban took control of the country more than a year back.

Moscow has been negotiating a contract to sell additional products, including gasoline, with government representatives even though they do not legally acknowledge the Taliban government.
