According to reports, the Indian Air Force’s top radar station is where Rajnath Singh, the Defence Minister visited on Monday to observe how the Integrated Air Command and Control System works (IACCS).
The system is the cornerstone of the IAF’s journey towards the network centricity and a critical operational enabler. The system’s capabilities improve situational awareness for users, reducing the time it takes for an Indian Air Force sensor to fire a shot.
The functionality of the system includes redundancies that enable efficient operations among its resources across the country. The Defence Minister was shown a variety of interconnected operations occurring at numerous locations across the country during the minister’s visit.
They “included the networked and integrated operations of fighter, transportation, and remotely controlled aircraft”. He also received instruction in the details of control and command activities carried out in peace, like ensuring the air support of important locations both regularly and at significant events.
In his speech, Rajnath Singh complimented the pilots for continuously preserving the safety of the nation’s skies.
