I will surely participate in the IPL in 2023: It would be unjust not to express gratitude to Chennai

Ms Dhoni, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings, has stated that he will play in the IPL 2023 for a simple reason. It would be unjust to not play in Chennai and express gratitude. He went on to say that he hopes next year would be an opportunity for us to compete for the title and win it and that would be the best way to thank the Chennai supporters.

“And also hopefully next year there will be an oppurtunity where the teams will be travelling so it will be a like thanku to all the different places where we will be playing games at different venues .Whether it will be my last year or not it will be a big question, but u can’t predict about something two years down the line .But definitely I will be working hard to come back strong next year.” he added.

‘Dhoni, now over 41 years old, has told the Chennai Super Kings that he will be available for the 2023 IPL and will also captain the team,’ according to espn cricinfo about an hour before the toss.

Another shot in the arm for the four-time IPL champions comes with the news that Ravindra Jadeja, who was forced to leave the camp due to an injury, will be back in the mix for the 2023 season. This contradicts the reports that Jadeja had a falling out with Dhoni and the team management following the captaincy change midway through the 2022 season.
