According to Information, “Z” category VIP security cover has reportedly been given to CRPF commandos by the national government for billionaire businessman and Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani.
They said that the all-India coverage will be offered on a “payment basis” and that it will likely cost between 15-20 lakhs per month.
They stated that a report on danger perception produced by central security agencies led to the security protection of Mr. Adani, 60, under the central list.
They further conveyed that, the Union Home Ministry has asked the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) VIP security arm to take over the task, and a squad is currently with the protectee.
RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani obtained a “Z+” level protection of CRPF commandos from the Union Government in 2013, while Neeta Ambani received a cover from a lower category a few years later.
