China And India Held Talks Today For Violation Of India Airspace

According to Sources, Military officials from China and India reportedly met today to explore methods to stop airspace violations close to the Line of Actual Control. They claim that senior Indian Air Force commanders attended the sessions in Ladakh.

The negotiations, according to the sources, focused on clearly defining borders to stop airspace infractions and potential breaches of Indian Airspace by Chinese military Aircraft.

It is difficult to determine when a genuine airspace breach occurs in the Ladakh region since the Line of Actual Control or LAC, is not clearly defined. China and India also have distinct perspectives on the LAC.

The talks took place at a time when China and many other countries, including the US, are experiencing close ties as a result of Representative Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan. Even further, approaching Japan’s Exclusive Economic Zone, Chinese ballistic missiles have been launched. It is typically advised that fixed wing airplanes stay at least 10 kms far from the LAC to reduce confusion.

On June 25, at about four in the morning, a Chinese J-11 fighter plane came perilously close to a flashpoint in eastern Ladakh. Radar systems and on-the-ground soldiers both spotted the aeroplane. The Chinese actions continued for over a month.

The Indian Air Force, or IAF, responded by launching its fighter jets, including the Mirage 2000 and MiG-29, from its forward stations in the Ladakh region.
