Indian Women’s Cricket Team Captain Surpasses Ms Dhoni’s Record , Creates Milestone

On Sunday during the commonwealth Games in Edgbaston, Birmingham, the Indian women’s cricket team steamrolled Pakistan. Pakistan lost to the Harmanpreet-Kaur-led team by eight wickets with 38 balls remaining as they chased down a subpar total of 100. Harmanpreet Kaur surpassed MS Dhoni to become the Indian captain with the most T20I victories as a consequence.

As captain, Harmanpreet has presided over 42 victories, 26 defeats, and three games that have produced no outcome. Dhoni, on the other side, served as captain for 72 games, managing 41 victories and 28 defeats. Under Dhoni’s captaincy, two of the matches resulted in no decisions, while one finished in a tie.

In the current Commonwealth Games encounter between India and Pakistan, the latter won the toss and chose to bat first. After the weather forced the match to be shortened to 18 overs per side, they were bundled out for 99.

Chasing 100 didn’t pose a problem for India at all as Smriti Mandhana produced an unbeaten knock of 63 runs off 42 balls with the help of 8 fours and 3 sixes to lead her team to victory while also boosting their Net Run Rate.
