Former OSD Bhola Yadav Arrested By CBI In Land For Job Case

According to a Source, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) detained Bhola Yadav on July 27 in connection with the land-for-jobs scam. Bhola Yadav was the former Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of former railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav.

Notably, from 2005 until 2009, Bhola Yadav served as Lalu Yadav’s OSD.  the CBI is conducting searches at two places in Patna and two in Darbhanga in Bihar in connection with the investigation, stated by an citing official.

The role of Bhola Yadav came out during the course of the investigation. Later on in the day, he will be brought before Rouse Avenue court. The CBI will probably ask for his two-week detention. The CBI conducted 16 raids in May, during which it seized several damning papers from Lalu Prasad and his family members’ residences.

The agency is currently searching four places that are connected to Bhola Yadav and his associates, two in Darbhanga and two in Patna. As per Information, Bhola Yadav’s chartered accountant owns one of the Patna properties being inspected. Investigations revealed that Bhola Yadav was the one who used to secure land and shift money for Lalu Yadav. According to a CBI official, he is the crucial witness in the case.

The new prosecution is based on claims that Yadav accepted property plots as payment for jobs when he served as the UPA government’s minister of railways. The FIR names up to 16 people as defendants, including Lalu Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi, his daughters Misha Bharti and Hema Yadav, as well as those who benefited from the entire scheme. They make up the 16 accused collectively.

When Lalu Yadav was the railways minister, the agency claims that up to 12 individuals were assigned to Group D positions in the Indian Railways from Patna. Family members of Lalu Yadav received seven pieces of property in the city and elsewhere for a pittance in exchange for these assignments. The family of those 12 individuals owned all of these plots.

The CBI claims that Lalu Yadav’s family bought more than 1 lakh square feet of land in this method for just Rs 26 lakh, even though the total value of the land at the time, according to the circular rate, was more than Rs 4.39 crore.

The daughter and wife of Lalu Prasad Yadav received all of AK Infosystems rights to its assets in 2014, according to the CBI. As per the reports of CBI,”Smt Rabri Devi had acquired the majority of the shares of aforementioned company in 2014 and afterwards became Director in the Company”.

Agency further added, out of the seven land sale deeds, three were in favour of Rabri Devi, one was in Misha Bharti’s name, one was in favour of AK Infosystems, and two were gift deeds in favour of Hema Yadav.

In a separate case of suspected corruption, Yadav and his family are also being tried. He is accused of making deals with a private company while serving as the railways minister in exchange for prime Patna real estate.
