Double Decker Buses Collide In UP’s Barabanki As 9 Killed And Many Injured

According to Information, On Monday morning at around 4 am, a speeding double-decker bus collided with a parked double-decker bus on the Purvanchal Expressway in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, resulting in nine immediate fatalities and more than 16 injuries, stated by police.

In the vicinity of Narendrapur Madraha village, close to Loniktra police station, an accident occurred. Both double-decker buses departed from Sitamarhi and Supaul in Bihar for Delhi.

Further Added that, on Monday morning in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, a speeding double-decker bus crashed with a double-decker bus that was parked on the Purvanchal Expressway, injuring over a dozen passengers.

Time of Accident :

As per reports, the Volvo bus number UP 17 AT 1353 left for Delhi on Sunday from Pupri town in the Sitamarhi (Bihar) district, which is located on Janakpuri Road. At 4:00 on Monday morning, a Volvo bus collided with another bus that was already parked near the Dayaram Purva village of the Loni Katra police station area.

From Bihar to Delhi, another bus with the number UP 81 DT 1580 was also operating. The automobile was halted by the bus driver close to Dayaram Purva. In all, 9 persons were killed in the tragedy, including 2 women and 1 child.

The injured were taken to CHC Haidergarh, and the seriously hurt were sent to the trauma centre in Lucknow, according to the police. The police and rescue crew, which includes ASP Manoj Pandey, are on the scene, and the relief and rescue efforts are still ongoing.

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, also expressed his sorrow and sent his condolences to the families of those killed in the accident.
